Sugar is a messaging app with a private helper in every chat. Kid catches the clash, drafts the reply and splits the bill. You decide what goes out.

Free to get. Made by Velio.

Your friends already plan everything in the chat. Kid makes sure it actually happens.

Only you

A helper nobody else can see.

Kid reads along in every chat and talks to you privately. Nobody else in the conversation knows it's there, so you can ask what you'd never ask out loud.

Kid · Only you see this

That clashes with your Mum's birthday breakfast.

It runs until 10:30. Want me to draft a reply asking for 11?

YouCan we do 11 instead?

Kid speaks to you, and only you.

01 · It notices

It spots what you'd miss.

Clashes, promises, money owed. Kid flags them, and one tap handles every step.

Ask Kid

Hand over the boring parts.

Twelve things Kid can do for you, and what it checks with you first.

In your hands

A helper that asks first.

Kid is useful because you can trust it. So it is built to check with you, not to surprise you.

Nothing goes out without you.
Kid drafts and you send. Messages to other people wait for your tap.
Money needs your tap and PIN.
Every charge and transfer asks you first. Kid never sees your card details.
You can see what Kid knows.
Everything it remembers about you is in plain view, and you can edit or delete any of it.
Private, by design.
Kid talks only to you. Nobody else in a chat can see it, hear it or ask it anything.

Friends not on Sugar yet

Message them anyway.

Nobody has to sign up before you can talk to them. Your message is waiting when they arrive, and the conversation carries on when they get the app.

  1. Write to anyone

Pick a friend who isn't on Sugar yet and message them as usual. It waits for them.

  2. Kid helps you invite

It suggests a message in your own tone, ready to send on WhatsApp.

  3. They read and reply

On iPhone they open the link and answer straight away, with nothing to install.

On Android, your friend installs Sugar first and the conversation picks up from there.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

  • What is Sugar?

Sugar is a messaging app from Velio with a private assistant called Kid built into every chat. Kid is an AI assistant that reads along, catches clashes, drafts replies, splits bills and handles small jobs for you, and only you can see it.

  • Can the people in my chat see Kid?

No. Kid talks only to you. Nobody else in a conversation can see it, hear it or ask it anything. In a group chat, every person has their own Kid, and each one is private to its owner.

  • Does Kid send messages for me?

Kid drafts and you send. Replies land in your message box and nothing goes out until you tap send. The one exception is a kind of message you have told Kid it can send for you, like instructions to a driver.

  • Can Kid spend my money?

No. Every charge and transfer needs your tap and your PIN, and Kid never sees your card details. When Kid fills in a booking form for you, it checks the details with you before it submits.

  • What does Kid remember about me?

Only what you have shared or confirmed. Everything Kid remembers is in plain view, you can edit or delete any of it, and sensitive topics are never stored. When Kid is unsure about a fact, it asks first.

  • Do my friends need Sugar to chat with me?

No. You can message a friend who is not on Sugar yet, and your message waits for them. Kid helps you send them an invite on WhatsApp. On iPhone they can open the link and read and reply straight away without installing anything. On Android they install Sugar first and the conversation picks up from there.

  • Which phones does Sugar work on?

Sugar is built for iPhone and Android.

  • Who makes Sugar?

    Sugar is made by Velio.

Start with the chats you already have.

Bring your friends, your group chats and your plans. Kid takes it from there.
